Rainier Chapter Scholarships

 

The Rainier Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution proudly offers three scholarship opportunities.  The Charlotte MacDonald and Charlotte Malone Scholarship, the Mrs. Earl A. (Dorothy Myers) Phillips Scholarship, and the Phyllis Hadley Toomey Memorial Scholarship.

  • The scholarships are open to high school seniors who have a minimum GPA of 3.20.

  • Students must be attending a high school within King, Pierce, Snohomish or Kitsap County.

  • Applicants must be US citizens.

  • Scholarships are judged and awarded on the merits of the application, without regard to gender, race, color, religion, national origin or disability.

  • The amount of scholarship and the number of worthy recipients will be determined by the Rainier Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution.

  • Both male and female students may apply.

  • Application Deadline is February 15. Any application received after that date will not be reviewed. The chapter will accept those postmarked on February 16th in the event that February 15th falls on a Sunday or a holiday.

  • Scholarship awards will be announced by June. Funds are distributed directly to the college or university of acceptance.

The MacDonald Malone Scholarship

Available to students who have graduated or will graduate from the Seattle School district

or adjoining area school district (Shoreline, Renton, Tukwila, and Mercer Island School Districts),

or live within the greater Seattle area.

The Phillips Scholarship

 

The Toomey Scholarship
